Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your NextBill account and the data associated with it. NextBill is operated by Nextcore Technology Inc., a domestic corporation registered in the Philippines.
How to delete your account from inside the app
- Sign in at nextbill-nti.com/login.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open the account menu.
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click Delete my account.
- Confirm by entering your password and typing the word DELETE.
- Press Delete account permanently. The deletion runs immediately and you'll be signed out.
How to request deletion if you can't sign in
If you've lost access to your account and can't complete the steps above, email support@nextbill-nti.com from the address registered to the account. Include the subject line "Account deletion request." We'll verify your identity and process the deletion within 14 calendar days.
What is deleted
- Your account record — name, email, password hash, email verification state, current session.
- Bills you created. Every bill where you are the owner, including its title, description, currency, subtotal, tax, service charge, discount, line items, calculated shares, and paid status, is permanently deleted. Other participants in those bills will no longer see them.
- Your participation in bills others created. In bills you did not own but were a participant in, your name and email are replaced with a "Deleted user" placeholder so the math other participants depend on stays intact. The bill record itself continues to exist for the people who created and shared it.
- Group memberships. You are removed from every group you belonged to. Groups that you owned and that had other members have their ownership transferred to one of the remaining members. Groups you owned with no other members are deleted.
- Settlement requests. Any pending mark-as-settled requests where you are the debtor or the creditor are deleted.
- Auth artifacts. Email verification tokens, password reset tokens, invitations you sent, and invitations you accepted are deleted.
- Active subscriptions. If you have a Pro subscription, it is cancelled at the source (PayMongo for Philippine users; Paddle for international users) before account data is deleted, so no further charges are made.
What may be retained, and for how long
- Payment and tax records. If you ever made a Pro payment, the underlying transaction records (amount, currency, date, last 4 digits of the card, billing country) are retained by our payment processors (PayMongo and Paddle) and by Nextcore Technology Inc. for accounting and tax-compliance purposes, as required by Philippine tax law. These records do not include your bill data or group activity. Retention period: 10 years from the date of the transaction (the retention period for accounting records under the Philippine Tax Code).
- Webhook and audit logs. Server logs that record security-relevant events (sign-in attempts, password resets, subscription events) may include your email or user id. These logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days and are then automatically purged.
- Bills you participated in but did not own. As described above, the bill record is kept by the owner, but every reference to you within it is anonymized.
Email backups
NextBill sends share-summary emails on your behalf when you click "Send to everyone." Once an email has left our servers, it is delivered to the recipient's inbox provider and we have no ability to recall or delete it. Email contents — share amounts, your name as the payer, the bill title — may persist in recipients' mailboxes and our outbound mail provider's logs subject to that provider's retention policy.
Timeline
In-app deletion is immediate. The user record, owned bills, group memberships, settlement requests, and auth artifacts are removed within the same database transaction as your confirmation. Subscription cancellation requests are dispatched to the payment processor before the account is removed; the processor confirms the cancellation asynchronously, typically within seconds.
